Etsy is a website similar to eBay, but with a few key differences. Etsy is not an auction site, but rather only uses fixed prices set by the seller of the item. The other key differences are also the benefits of shopping on Etsy.
The handmade items section
This is the section where most of Etsy is contained. The benefit of this section is that most of the items are one-of-a-kind and cannot be exactly reproduced. These items cannot be found in chain stores and are usually handmade by the seller. Each seller has their own craft and as such many of the items make wonderful heartfelt gifts.
The vintage section
This section contains vintage items, many of these items which used to be available in stores but are no longer in production. These items are perfect for gifts for those people who are nostalgic about their past. Many of these items are also clothing items which make a unique fashion statement for the person wearing the article of clothing. Many fashion trends also repeat themselves. This makes Etsy the perfect site on which to find original examples of those fashion trends that have been revived from past decades.
The supplies section
The supplies section is the perfect section of Etsy made especially for crafters. It is very easy to find supplies for one’s craft in this section. This section can contain a wide variety of notions such as thread, buttons, findings, ribbon, or just about anything else you can think of that you would need to complete your craft. Etsy is the only site of its kind to have a section dedicated especially to crafters and their supply needs.
Etsy accepts Paypal
Paypal is widely becoming the most accepted form of online payment. Buyers like it because it does not require that the buyer share their credit card information or bank account information directly with the seller. Rather, the buyer’s bank account and credit card information is saved within their Paypal account and will not be shared directly with the seller. Sellers like PayPal because payment is almost instantaneous and the payment can be then deposited into the seller’s bank account.
